Cụng thức chung của sở hữu cỏch Thụng thường, ta thành lập dạng sở hữu cỏch bằng cỏch thờm 's vào sau một danh từ. Ex. My father’s table = The table of my father: cỏi bàn của bố tụi Tom's mother = The mother of Tom: mẹ của Tom c. Một số trường hợp khỏc: - Với danh từ số nhiều khụng tận cựng là s, ta thờm 's. Ex. The children's toys = The toys of the children: Đo chơi của trẻ em - Với danh từ là số nhiều cú tận cựng là s, ta chỉ thờm dấu phẩy (’). Ex. Students’ library = The library of students (Thư viện của sinh viờn) - Nếu cú hai người cựng sở hữu một vật gỡ đú, ta chỉ thờm 's cho danh từ thứ hai. Ex. Mai and Long’s car. (Xe hơi của Mai và Long) 2. Preposition of place (Giới từ chỉ vị trớ) - Giới từ chỉ vị trớ là một trong những loại giới từ thường gặp nhất trong tiếng Anh. Nú dựng để chỉ vị trớ của một người hoặc một vật so với vị trớ của một người khỏc hoặc vật khỏc. Ex. The cat is on the bed. (Con mốo ở trờn giường.) The birds are in the cage. (Những con chim ở trong cỏi lồng.) walks /walks/ đi bộ maps /mổps/ bản đồ months /mʌnθs/ thỏng Cỏch 2. Phỏt õm là /iz/ khi từ cú tận cựng là cỏc õm: /s/, /z/, /ʃ/, /tʃ/, /dʒ/, /ʒ/. Và thường là cỏc chữ cỏi -sh, -ce, -s, -ss, -z, -ge, -ch, -c.
