Good morning, everyone. As you may know, recycling materials is seen as one
way to reduce the amount of garbage dumped into the environment. Today, I
will show you another solution which is very useful, and easily done by
yourselves. It’s “salvaging materials”. Let me give you more explanations.
Normally, we use more energy to recycle something to turn it into new products.
For example, to recycle metal, we have to melt it down and then make it into
new shapes, which means we need lots of fuels or energy. However, with the
salvaging method, we can reuse materials with fewer energy resources and
minimise the damaging impact on our environment. For instance, we can reuse
the old car tires as new swings for children, or we even turn old buses into new
comfortable and eco-friendly homes by modifying them and adding more
decorations made from recycled car parts inside and outside. Simple, isn’t it?
Can anyone give me some other examples? ...
1. energy
2. damaging
