 • Play the recording and have pupils listen and repeat in chorus, 
 groups then individuals. 
 Step 2
 Goals: Pupils will be able to listen and repeat the unit key words.
 Recognize and say the words with flashcards. 
 Time: 4 minutes
 • Introduce the unit keywords Lucy, lemons, leaf and lake with 
 flashcards.
 • On the board, there are four flashcards for Lucy, lemons, leaf 
 and lake. 
 • Teacher points to the flashcard of Lucy, say the word and have 
 pupils repeat the word.
 • Do the same with other words. 
 • May have pupils guess the word when teacher says the 1st time. 
 Step 3
 Goal: Pupils will recognize the Unit keywords Lucy, lemons, leaf and lake 
 Time: 5 minutes. 
 • Make a model with a pupil. Teacher says, pupil points.
 • One pupil says the word and randomly calls another pupil to 
 point.
 • Then pupils practice in pairs.
Point and say Step 1
 Goal: Pupils will be able to point and say the words in chorus. 
 Time: 3 minutes
 Have pupils listen, point and say the words. 
 1st time:
 • Point the the picture of Lucy and say Lucy. Ask pupils to repeat
 • Do the same with other words.
 2nd time: 
 • Point to the picture and have pupils say the words.
 Step 2. 
 Goal: Pupils will be able to listen and point to the pictures in pairs. 
 Time: 5 minutes Lesson 2
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
- say the sound of the letter L/l and the words Lucy, lake, lemons in a chant. 
- listen, recognize the words and tick the correct boxes.
- write the letter L/l and complete the words __ucy, __ake, __eaf and __emons.
 Procedure Activities
 Warm-up Game: Word masking
 Goal: Warm up and revise the unit keywords. 
 Time: 5 minutes
 • Give each group a set of words (teacher can use words of recent 
 lessons).
 • Say Find words with letter L.
 • Pupils will find words having letter L then stick on board.
 • The fastest is the winner.
 • Have pupils say all the correct words found.
 Listen and chant Step 1
 Goal: Pupils will be able to read the chant lyrics.
 Time: 5 minutes. 
 • Have pupils read the chant lyrics in chorus, then in groups.
 Step 2
 Goal: Pupils will be able to listen, chant and clap along. 
 Time: 3 minutes
 • Play the recording, have pupils listen and clap along. 
 • Play the recording, have pupils listen, clap and chant along
 + Round 1. Have pupils listen and clap along. 
 + Round 2. Have pupils listen and do the TPR actions with teacher. 
 + Round 3. Have pupils listen and do the actions and chant along. 
 + Repeat round 3 several times. 
 Step 3
 Goal: Pupils will be able to chant and clap along in pairs. Lesson 3
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
- introduce a thing with the structure “That’s a/my____” . 
- sing a long the unit song. 
 Procedure Activities
 Warm-up Goal: Warm up and revise the words
 Time: 3 minutes
 • Give each group a set of letters.
 • In 2 minutes, pupils will stick on board words that they can make 
 from letters.
 • Group with most correct words will be the winner.
 • Have pupils read in chorus all the correct words.
 Listen and repeat Step 1
 Goal: Pupils will be able to understand the meaning of the imperative: 
 Look at
 Time: 5 mins
 • Point to the picture of mango and say Look at the mango.
 • Repeat 3 times and have pupils repeat the sentence.
 • Do the same with the picture of leaf.
 • Explain the meaning of the structure if needed.
 Step 2
 Goal: Pupils will be able to practice Listen and repeat task in textbook.
 Time: 2 mins
 • Have pupil open the book and practice listen and repeat in 
 chorus, in groups then individuals.
 Step 3
 Goal: People will be able to practice more the new structure.
 Time: 2 mins
 Stick around the class wall with some flashcards. 
 Say Look at and pupils will look at the picture that teacher mentioned.
 Next turn, 1 pupil says and the others do.
 Let’s talk Step 1
 Goal: Practice speaking the structure Look at in the text book, task 7. • Say 1 word. 
 • Pupils have to find the flashcard and sit on the chair that has this 
 flashcard. Then hold the flashcard and say Look at____. 
 • The group has 1 point if their presentative is the fastest and say 
 the correct sentence.
Wrap-up • Repeat the words with rhythm and say goodbye.
