 Goal: Pupils will be able to understand the meaning, listen and repeat 
 the unit keywords football, foot, father, face.
 Tim: 6 minutes
 • Use the flashcard to present the new words.
 • Show the flashcard of face and say face.
 • Do the TPR to demonstrate the meaning of face.
 • Say and have pupils repeat in chorus, groups and individuals.
 • Do the same with other words.
Listen and point Step 1
 Goal: Pupils will be able to point and say the new words. 
 Time: 5 minutes
 Have pupils listen and point to the pictures in the book. 
 • Hold up your index finger, demonstrate the action for Point. 
 • Say Point and say with the TRP actions. 
 • Point to the foot and say foot. Have pupil point and say. 
 • Repeat the procedure. 
 • Vary the speed to make the activity fun. 
 • Do the activity in groups. One points, the other take turn to say.
 • Ask one or two students to point to the picture and have other 
 pupils say the word. 
 Step 2. 
 Goal: Pupils are able to say the word. 
 Time: 8 mins
 Game: Matching pictures
 • Divide the class into two teams. Each team then takes turns in 
 choosing TWO squares.
 • If the two squares are the same word / picture, then the team 
 gets a point. 
 • If the two squares are different, then click on the red circle to 
 hide the picture again. 
 • Pupils must try to remember where the matching pairs of words 
 are. 
Wrap-up Repeat the words in rhythm and say goodbye. Look and trace Goal: Pupils will be able to trace the letter. 
 Time: 5 minutes
 • Have pupils write the word by air tracing and say the word. 
 • Demonstrate how to trace the word and have pupils do the task. 
Game Goal: Revise the words learnt
 Time: 5 minutes
 Game: Score a goal
 Have pupils to play the game in groups.
 Each group takes turn to choose word to shoot into the net.
 Correct shoot will give score to the group.
Wrap-up Repeat the words in rhythm and say goodbye. Goal: Pupils will be able to practice saying more with the new structure 
 in a game
 Time: 5 minutes
 • Call 1 pupil to be teacher’s assistant: click the timer to count the 
 time for each team.
 • 1 team play at a time. 
 • Call the team to line up. 
 • Says: Point to your head! The 1st pupil does the action, then 
 turns around and says another sentence to his/her friend to act 
 (ex: point to your hand), then he/she comes back to the seat. 
 Continue to the last pupil of the group.
 • The team can finish in the shortest of time is the winner.
Let’s sing Step 1
 Goal: Pupils will be able to read the song lyrics. 
 Time: 3 minutes
 • Have pupils read the song lyrics in chorus then in groups.
 Step 2
 Goal: Pupils will be able to sing along the song.
 Time: 3 minutes
 • Have pupils listen and sing along the song in chorus then in 
 groups
 Step 3
 Goal: Pupils will be able to sing the song with TPR. 
 Time: 3 minutes
 • Have groups create their own TPR for the song then present.
 • Finish the song with the TRP for high five and fist bump. 
 • If possible, have pupils create their own song lyrics.
Game Goal: Review the unit keywords
 Time: 5 minutes
