 - Ask Ss to guess letters in the word “pets”

Activity 2: Presentation:
 -Content 1.Look, listen and repeat
 a.Teaching vocabulary:
 +dogs :chó (pic.)
 + cats : mèo (pic.)
 + birds : chim (pic.)
 + parrots : vẹt (pic.)
 +rabbits : thỏ (pic.)
 b. Set the sence:
 + Show the picture and elicit the answer of who the characters are.(Minh, Lucy, Bill, Mai
 + Explain what happens in the picture. 
 + Play the tape for Ss to listen & say along.
 + Have Ss repeat the text in chorus.
 + Work in pairs.
 + Write the pattern on the board
 Do you have any dogs?
 Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
 Activity 3: Practice 
 -Content 2: Listen, Point and say
 - Procedure:
 + ask students to answer the following questions:
 What have you learnt from the lesson today?

I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
 + use the words and phrases related to the topic My Pets.
 + listen and use the pattern in listening and writing
 + sing the song “ My pets”.
 - Ss can develop some following competences: 
 + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act 4
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 2, act 3
 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, act 3, act 4
 + Problem-solving and creative competence: act 4
 *Language focus: 
 - Structure: Do you have any dogs/ cats...?
 Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
 - Differentiated teaching:
 + Incomplete Ss: can hear the key words 
 + Well-completed Ss: can hear the whole sentences.

 + Fill the bubbles & write the sentences on the board.

 + Get Ss to work in groups. Teacher moves around and praise Ss when they perform well.
 + Call some Ss to the front of the class to show their pictures to the class and tell the class.
