- That will help you and your Ss see how far they have progressed, and which areas need further practice. * Content: Review the previous lesson or have some warm-up activities to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to inspire Ss to warm up to the new lesson. * Products:Having a chance to speak English and focus on the topic of the lesson.. * Implementation:Teacher’s instructions Teacher’s & Student’s activities Content + Greeting + Greeting + GAME: Guessing Game. + GAME: Guessing * T divides the class into two big groups. - Ss take turns to think of a hobby for your partner to guess. - Their partner can ask up to 10 yes / no questions and he / she can only answer with a 'yes’ or 'no’. - Time allowance: 3 minutes ** T asks ss to listen carefully and say aloud the name of the hobby. Who has the quicker and correct answer will get one point. The group with more points is the winner. E.g: I have a lot of bottles, dolls - Ss work in groups to do the task. or stamps. What is my hobby? *** Ss give answer. **** T monitors and gives feedback. Activity 2. KNOWLEDGE FORMATION (10’-IW, PW) * Aim: To help Ss revise the vocabulary items they have learnt in the unit. * Content: Revision on the words about hobbies. Complete the sentences with appropriate hobbies. * Products:Review the words/ phrases. Complete the sentences correctly. * Implementation: Teacher’s instructions Teacher’s & Student’s activities Content 1. Complete the sentences with appropriate 1. Complete the sentences with hobbies. PRACTICE (18’-IW, PW, GW) * Aim: To help Ss revise the vocabulary items they have learnt in the unit and create true sentences; To help Ss revise the present simple; To help Ss revise the present simple in questions and negative sentences. * Content: Make sentences; Revision on the use of the present tense. Complete the passage. * Products:Make sentences about Ss themselves and family members correctly; complete the sentences using the present simple form of each verb. * Implementation: 2. Remember to have the “show and tell” session and vote for the best poster. *** Students vote for the best poster. **** Teacher gives feedback. * Home assignment * Home assignment - T assigns the homework. - Do more exercises in workbook. - Ss copy their homework. - Make more sentences .
