I. LEARNING OUTCOMES

Pronounce i in big and ee in street distinctly, then say the two model sentences.
Identify the sentence heard in each of the two three-option listening items.
Perform both verses of the Little Bee / Little Fish chant and answer where each character lives.

Connect a sound to its written word, listen for differences and use a visible sentence as evidence.

Take turns when chanting and help a partner repeat without teasing pronunciation errors.

Board, notebooks, textbook chant pictures and the existing lesson document on the teacher's screen; no 
separate handout or pupil account.

Warm-up: Where do you live? (3 minutes)
Learning goal: Recall a place description before focusing on its sounds.
Task content and materials
Write: GREEN STREET — a big village. Ask two volunteers to use the roles: A: Where do you live? 
B: I live in Green Street. Change B's cue to a big village.
