Teaching date: .... / .... / ........ I. LEARNING OUTCOMES 1. Language knowledge and skills Recognise and say jam, juice, chips, grapes, lemonade and water in a birthday-party context. Ask “What do you want to eat / drink?” and answer “I want some ” using the food or drink shown. Take both roles in a short party conversation; choose a food and a drink without confusing eat and drink. 2. Competences Use the picture menu to make a choice, listen to a partner's order and check the matching item. Work with a partner, allowing both pupils a turn. 3. Personal qualities Offer choices politely, accept different preferences and treat practice birthday information carefully. 4. Integrated learning [CB2.1.2] Information accuracy: compare a short digital family-birthday table with the supplied source cards, find the incorrect month and enter the correction. PPCT code 1.2.Cb2a applies to periods 25–28. II. TEACHING AND LEARNING MATERIALS Textbook p. 30; Teacher's Book pp. 60–61; board, six food/drink word cards and books for every pair. Tracks 40–41 if available locally. If the recording cannot be used, read the complete printed scripts below at a natural, clear pace; this is teacher-read listening. All source cards, menus and order cards are printed in this lesson plan. For the digital comparison, use Word or PowerPoint on the classroom computer: before class, paste the four copied-table lines below into a temporary working document and enlarge the text. Keep the original cards visible beside it. Use only the fictional family data below. The pupil selects the incorrect month in the temporary document and types the correction; compare it with the source before accepting it. Do not edit the lesson-plan master. Warm-up – check a birthday table (4 minutes) Learning goal: Recall month names and check whether a copied digital table matches its source. Task content and materials Original fictional family source cards: Mother — January Father — March Nam — March Ann — April Copied table for the temporary on-screen document: Mother — January Father — April Nam — March Ann — April Task: Read both sets. Find the month copied incorrectly, change it and explain which source card you used. Key: Father's April must be March. Father and Nam have birthdays in the same month.
